Tattoos Design

Tattoos
Tattoos are wonderful pieces of body art. But, there are a few things to keep in mind before you get your favorite design inked into your skin as a tattoo. The most important thing to keep in mind is the health risk. Because tattoos involve using a needle which breaks the skin, you can be exposed to several different complications. These include both infectious diseases and possible allergic reactions. Though in reality the chance of contracting a disease is very small in most professional parlors. This is done primarily through the exclusive use of single use needles and autoclaves, though these aren’t used much anymore. A less significant risk is that the trace metal elements in the tattoo pigments, particularly in red and green pigments, will cause an allergic reaction. I once had an allergic reaction to calcutta black. The reaction wasn’t severe but it did cause much of the ink to leak out of the tattoo. If your not sure if your allergic to a particular ink then have your artist test a small area of your skin first. If you follow these recommendations you can get the design of your dreams without any complications.

Snake Tattoos

Snake Tattoos
Snake tattoos are found in all forms of classic tattooing. That’s because since the dawn of man, the snake has had significant religious and symbolic meaning. So, it’s no wonder that the snake tattoo has always been a popular design choice. The concept of the snake as a symbol of wisdom and knowledge goes back a long way. Legends from the most ancient civilizations tell of the snake or serpent bringing about the creation of the planets. Indeed, the myth of Ouroboros which emerged in 1600 years BC in Egypt, features an enormous serpent devouring its own tail, surviving by devouring itself, symbolizing an unending, eternal cycle of renewal. This idea of a cycle without end is an echo of the concept of infinity. And in Greek mythology, the serpent was associated with the goddess of the moon. As a female symbol, it brings knowledge to mankind, while in other cultures it is portrayed as a goddess of mystery, birth and death. In the Americas, there are many myths that tell of snake people living underground, both as guardians of the next world, and of helpers of humans still living in on this earthly realm. Many of these myths are grounded in the observations that many snakes hibernate underground and seem to be renewed by shedding their skins on a regular basis. Thus, like the frog, a snake tattoo can be symbol of regeneration and rebirth. Of course, it can also be seen as a symbol of death and danger. It all depends on the bearer’s perspective of what the snake tattoo means to him or her.
Snake Tattoos
In this picture we are looking at two versions of the same snake tattoo at two different times of it being put on this persons leg. It is impossible to tell what kind of snake it is meant to be but certainly the fangs tell us that it is meant to be a poisonous snake. Meaning deadly. It is no accident that snake tattoos are so popular. As one of the oldest symbols in existence, drawings of snakes have been found long before any form of the written word appeared. In many cultures snakes represented life and death and also many times represented the Underworld.

The snake tattoos as symbols of wisdom and knowledge go back a long way. Legends from the most ancient civilizations tell of the snake or serpent bringing about the creation of the planets. Indeed, a myth from ancient Egypt suggests that there was an enormous serpent devouring its own tail and literally surviving by devouring itself, symbolizing an eternal cycle of renewal. This idea of a cycle without end is the concept of eternal life and infinity which brings us right back to the old yin yang thing once again. Needless to say snake tattoos can say an awful lot if you need them to.

Foot Tattoos

Foot Tattoos
If you like the foot tattoo in this picture then you might want to run out and get one done right away. But, there are a few things that you need to keep in mind first. Foot tattoos must be cared for in a certain way. Especially as they are healing. Foot tattoos are more likely to become infected then other locations on the body, which is another reason why some tattooist are reluctant to do them. Your new foot tattoo needs to be kept clean, dry and free from any dirt particles. You have to be especially careful to not let anything that will irritate it come into contact with it. This means that shoes or socks are not to be worn, or worn only occasionally if at all possible for at least a couple of weeks after the tattoo has been inked. This will allow your foot tattoo to lose any of the swelling it may have. Plus, you have to remember that if a tattoo is being constantly rubbed then the ink can come out of it until it heals. So, extra precautions and forethought has to be put into it before you even get the ink flowing.
Foot Tattoos
It is usually women who are interested in foot tattoos, but personally, I think they look pretty cool on guys too. That is if they choose the right type of design. I would think the first thing you should do is choose a design that best reflects your own personality and style. But you do want to make sure to take your time so that you don’t make a mistake. One of the most typical mistakes is people getting something that is so trendy that in ten years it looks silly and it gives away your age. Some people may not care about that but I know that others certainly do.

The most common foot tattoos on the top of the foot but some people actually choose to get their foot tattoos put on the bottom of their feet. I am not really sure why as that seems it would be very painful and much harder to heal and of course, very few people are ever going to see it. Not to mention that a tattoo on the bottom of the foot will not have as much color nor near as much detail as one on the top of the foot.

Chest Tattoo

Chest Tattoo
This chest tattoo brings a dark picture together with bright colors and flowers. The color’s used in this chest tattoo are green, blue, orange, pink, gold, white, tan, purple, and black, and all the colors are blended real well. The skulls in this chest tattoo are grey with hints of white around the edges and the teeth. One tooth on each skull is gold. The eye sockets on each skull start off a very light pink on the edges and fades to a black near the outer rim of the sockets. The same goes for the nose of each skull, pink near the back, black near the outer rim. Green vines flow through the nose and eye sockets of each skull. Different colored flowers, ranging from pink to green, and blue to orange, grow on the vines growing from out of the skulls. This chest tattoo is unique and original because it mixes a morbid image like a skull and the beautiful colors of flowers all in one tattoo. This is one chest tattoo that anyone would be interested in, because it mixes so many different styles of art into one piece of artwork. This is a really good tattoo.
Chest Tattoo
This is a great representation of what an average person can do with a chest tattoo. Chest tattoos can be hidden or revealed at will, so you can put just about any design there. And because there is a lot of space to work with, chest tattoos can sport some pretty large designs with a lot of different elements in them. The chest tattoo in the picture is frequently referred to as a chest piece, because it covers from shoulder to shoulder like an armors chest piece. The wearer has combined several different things in his design. On one shoulder is written the word "love", on the other is written the word "hate". In the center of this chest piece is a hand holding cards, generally used to mean luck or chance. I would venture to say that the intended symbolism of this design is to infer that all things in this life are hanging on the whims of fate. And that includes love and hate or peace and war. The again, the bearer of this chest tattoo could have simply chosen the design because it looks really hot and is done in a more traditional type of style. What do you think?

Grim Reaper Tattoos

Grim Reaper Tattoos
As far as grim reaper tattoos go this is a pretty damn good one. It is very imaginative and very creepy. Simple but very much to the point and it gets the point across, in my humble opinion, in a very big way. I do not know what this style of art is called but I like it very, very much. It takes but one look at this piece of art to get an impression from it and that is something I can appreciate a great deal. Should I ever decide to get one of these grim reaper tattoos, this one, or one very much like it, will be very high up on the list of what I choose from. I would not be surprised if I chose this one exactly as it is.

I’m glad I got to see this version of the grim reaper tattoos. The grim reaper here in this drawing makes me think he is just sitting there for a moment waiting for his next victim. And then he will swoop off to the left, the right, the up or the down and go and collect the next soul due to him. And of course, moments later he will be back for another. Because we all know that this is a process that never ends.

Grim Reaper Tattoos
The grim reaper tattoo has been seen in the past as a moniker of evil. The grim reaper has often been associated with the dark forces of the devil, though this has historically not been the case. The grim reaper tattoo is simply a physical representation of death. It is neither good nor evil, it is what it is. The grim reaper is charged with taking the recently dead to the next life. Whether that is heaven, hell or purgatory depends on how the person has lived his life. So actually, the grim reaper is an agent of life as well as death. He has no control over who goes when and where they go when they die. He is merely an agent of the larger forces of the universe. Bearers of the grim reaper tattoo are usually making a statement with their design choice. The grim reaper tattoo states that the wearer is not afraid of death. The bearer of the tattoo in the picture has illustrated this symbolic representation even further by adding in the phrase, "Death Can Wait". He is making the statement that he is going to live life to the fullest and is not going to be bound by the fear of death.

Rose Tattoo

Rose Tattoo
One of the most requested designs of all times, and one that continues to be popular both among men and women is the rose tattoo. And while most people favor the rose tattoo for it’s grace and beauty there is a significant symbolic meaning behind those pretty petals. It’s a symbol of passion, chastity, and purity. The gift of a single red rose expresses romantic love while a thornless rose declares "love at first sight". Yellow roses are for joy, white for reverence, and light pink for sympathy and admiration. In medieval times, the white rose was the symbol of virginity. Countless tales and legends name the rose as a source of love and delight. According to the ancient Persians, the nightingale loved the white rose so much that the bird embraced it, piercing its heart and turning the rose red. And the rose’s beauty, variety, and exquisite scent have inspired lovers, saints and artists since humans first encountered it. Poems have been written of it and it has appeared in numerous forms of art. So, it’s only natural that mankind would immortalize this most sacred of flowers by tattooing it. Whether it’s your first tattoo or one of many, the rose tattoo can compliment any array of tattoo work.
Rose Tattoo
The rose tattoo has enjoyed a varied and interesting history, much as the rose itself has. Early Christians associated the rose with their Roman enemies, hence it became a mark of scorn, but eventually it came to symbolize the survival of persecution. Later yet, won over by its fabulous beauty, Christians adopted the rose as a symbol of the miraculous. At least a dozen saints have their names linked with roses, like Saint Therese of Lisieux, also known as Saint Therese of the Roses. The Virgin Mary herself is called "The Mystical Rose". The first rosary is said to have consisted of roses, then later rose carved beads. Other religions have also embraced this flower and the rose tattoo in general. Ancient Hindu writings speak of the goddess Lakshmi being born of 108 large rose petals, and 1,108 smaller ones. In 15th century England, during the bloody War of the Roses, the red rose stood for the House of Lancaster, while the white rose represented the House of York. For the Romans and the Greeks, roses represented beauty and love. The story goes that Cleopatra had her palace strewn with rose petals to receive her lover, Mark Anthony. So, if your thinking about getting a rose tattoo then you would be in great company among the historical figures who have also loved the rose both as a flower and as a symbol.

Tattoo Drawings

Tattoo Drawings
We all know that tattoo drawings can be of almost anything at all. This one however is a drawing of some sort of winged dragon or demon that come with a knife or short sword. Perhaps meaning that it is a dragon with a sting. In many cultures dragon are a power of strength and can represent a God like creature so maybe this drawing is meant to be of one of those creatures and that the sword is to show that it wields a great power with it. We know, from the holes in this creatures wings that it is not one that would be afraid of fighting, but rather one who would welcome it. And perhaps that is the message here. Like saying, if you mess with me, you’re going to know you’ve been in a wild fight, win or lose.

It’s hard to find tattoo drawings this good and I like tattoo drawings like this one. It shows both imagination and creativity and for me those are the most important elements in any form of artwork, most especially tattoos. With the right shading and coloring this could really be one hell of a nice tattoo that I believe would be appreciate by many for a very long time.

Tattoo Drawings
Here is one of those tattoo drawings that is way too early, in my opinion, to be chosen as a tattoo to get. I would want to see it developed more. Show me some more detail. Show me some color. I want a much better idea of what my tat is going to look like before I give it the okay. And for me, this is only a conceptual drawing that gives me no clear idea of how the tattoo is going to look. Unless, the tattoo is meant to look just like this. And if that’s the case, I wouldn’t want to anyway.

I like looking at the many tattoo drawings an artist may have around, when I am trying to figure out my next tattoo but sometimes they are confusing because they are not always a final view of exactly what the tattoo will be. And I am one of those people who needs to see a very close representation of what the final tattoo will look like before I get it. I’m just picky that way. Maybe everyone out there is probably not that way when looking at tattoo drawings. And I am not saying you need to be crazy about this, just be careful out there folks.

Fairies Tattoos

Fairies Tattoos
The fairy tattoo is a representation of a female nymph like creature that has magical powers and originates all the way from Celtic mythology. These fanciful creatures are usually represented as little female creatures of a youthful appearance. Thus, they are very close in nature to woodland nymphs or sprites. These creatures are usually represented in mythology as entities who can grant a person’s wishes, but in extreme cases can also be very spiteful and cause harm to those who cross them. Some cultures view fairies as a sort of angel who has been bound to the earth realms. When the great war between the angels and God started, the supreme being closed off the gates of Heaven. Those angels who sided with God remained angels. Those who had joined Satan’s army became demons. And all the rest who remained neutral became fairies. And since they were former angels, they retained some of their magical properties and remain on earth to aid mankind. But, there is another representation of the fairy. In Ireland, for instance, fairies are considered to be the cousins of mankind. Thus, they are neither good nor evil, but do what is best for themselves. What is your interpretation of the fairy tattoo?
Fairies Tattoos
A lot of women get fairy tattoos that incorporate any number of design elements into them. They usually depict the fairies in woodland settings, among flowers or sitting on lily pads. Now, why would you get a fairy tattoo that looks like every other fairy tattoo? I think that is rather dull and is really against the grain of what a tattoo is supposed to be. I mean come on, if you want a beautiful design then get a fairy tattoo that is unique and expresses your individuality. And that’s the reason that I particularly enjoy this design. Sure, it contains a few common fairy elements in it, like the stars and the fact that this fairy is flying. But, it is also very unique. For one, the fairy is flying more like a super hero then a fairy. Two, this fairy has sort of a dark countenance about her. She doesn’t look cute or happy. No, she looks more like she is serious and dark. She’s the type of fairy who would use her magical powers to smite any human dumb enough to get in her way. Another thing that I like about this design is the coloring. It’s a big departure from the pale blues and pinks that are usually seen in fairy tattoos.

Butterfly Tattoos

Butterfly Tattoos
Butterfly tattoos almost always denote the feminine touch and are very popular among young women and girls. And rightfully so as its fragile elegance and brightly colored mantle instinctively reminds us of the female side of our nature. But, butterfly tattoos are not just superficial adornments because they are also ripe with symbolic meaning. The butterfly is seen as a transformational creature. As a matter of fact, In Greek mythology, Psyche was represented in art with butterfly wings. The creature starts out as a caterpillar emerging from it’s cocoon and eventually evolves into a mystical and magical creature of the air. This was a metaphor for the Greeks of the evolution of the human soul. Bursting forth from our mother’s womb, moving through adulthood and old age and emerging reborn through our deaths. To the Greeks, a human soul emerged each time a butterfly emerged from its cocoon. Souls were carried by the butterfly from earth to heaven, or in some cases were believed to be the souls themselves returning to earth to once again be reborn. Thus, it can easily be seen how the butterfly tattoo is not only a symbol of beauty and femininity but also one that is representative of our innate spirituality.
Butterfly Tattoos
This is an excellent example of a butterfly tattoo. The design almost has a tribal motif to it and yet is wonderfully shaded in blue. Butterfly tattoos have become very popular these days and they are often the most requested of tattoo designs especially among young women. Butterfly tattoo designs of course are popular among many women just because they look so damn good. And, of course butterfly tattoos have a deep symbolic meaning behind their delicate natures. We all know that a butterfly begins it’s life as a caterpillar and goes through a major metamorphosis as it goes on it’s journey to become a butterfly. It makes itself it’s own cocoon and then emerges a little while later as an amazing butterfly. This transformation made many cultures believe it had magical powers. And the transformation of this lovely insect into a winged creature made many cultures invent symbolism about this insect that compared it to the spiritual qualities of human life. In Greek mythology, the butterfly is often a representation of the mind or subconscious. Now, that you know the symbolism behind the butterfly tattoo, does it inspire you to get your own?

Angel Tattoo

Angel Tattoo
If you’re looking for a beautiful and impressive tattoo design then why not consider an angel tattoo. An angel tattoo design is usually an overtly religious symbol. Angels are anthropomorphic, meaning they are in the shape of men. They are winged forms intended to transmit the word of God to humankind. Angels personify divine will and are the messengers of God. Winged messengers appear in a number of religions as intermediaries between the spiritual and material worlds, but appear most often in Islamic, Jewish and the Christian faiths. The word angel comes from the Greek ‘aggelos’, meaning messenger. Angels make frequent appearances in the Christian Bible, not only as messengers of God but also delivering his protection or punishment. Angels act as God’s intermediaries, carrying out God’s will in the affairs of man. Symbols closely associated with angels in art include trumpets, harps, swords, scepters and wands. Angels are usually portrayed as young men with wings and halos, representing their divinity. As a design element, an angel tattoo is a symbol of devotion, spirituality and faith and signifies a close personal relationship with God. An angel tattoo can be intended as a figure of guidance and protection. An angel is also used as the centerpiece of a tattoo that is intended as a memorial to someone who is close or dear to the bearer.
Angel Tattoo
Who says you have to be religious to love an angel tattoo. This is a hot looking tattoo no matter what you believe in. Their are lots of different designs you can use within your angel tattoo, but the one thing that always stands out is the long hair on the angel. I don’t think I have ever seen an angel tattoo with the angel having short hair. Could be my imagination, and I sure haven’t seen all the tattoos out their, but I am talking about the tattoos I have seen myself. I like the angel tattoo best when the angel resembles Jesus in one way or the other.

I know a lot of inmates in prison gangs end up with an angel tattoo, not sure what that is all about, but you see it all the time. Even in the movies, their goes the ex-con and sure enough he has an angel tattoo on his back, along with a bunch of other tattoos. Also for some reason this type of tattoo is mainly worn by men and not women. Even though I have seen a few females with a tattoo like this, there have not been many to tell you the truth.

Jesus Tattoo

Jesus Tattoo
There is perhaps no tattoo more iconic then the Jesus tattoo. It’s depicts the face recognizable by people all over the world. And not just among Christians either. I think you would be hard pressed to find a person of any religion who doesn’t recognize the figure in a Jesus tattoo. He is often depicted with a faint glow over his body, alluding to his divinity and is sometimes displayed with a halo over his head. Other depictions take a different route and focus more on his crucifixion. These are the ones where Jesus is shown nailed to the cross or wearing a crown of thorns. A great example of a crucifixion. Jesus tattoo is in the picture. Though it’s only a bust shot you can clearly see that it depicts the final moments before he was tacked up to the cross. He is wearing the infamous crown of thorns and there are trickles of blood running down his face. His countenance is reflective and his gaze is lifted towards the heavens asking hs heavenly father for strength and guidance. It’s a beautiful piece of work that can be revered by members of the faith and admired for it’s elegance by everyone.

Tattoos Pictures

Tattoos Pictures
As you can tell from the photograph there is a wide variety of tattoo pictures available to you. These tattoo pictures represent a small swath of what’s available in terms of style and design. There are tattoo pictures of animals as evidenced by the spider, the dog and the lizard. Another prominent motif epitomized in these tattoo pictures fall into the realism category. These are the realistic human faces, some benign and some horrific, that are almost identical to their original images. Before you get one of these realistic tattoos, however, you need to spend quite a bit of time finding a reputable tattoo artist. These are designs that require a ton of experience, so don’t be afraid to shop around for the best artist you can find. Ask for credentials and take a good hard look at his portfolio. The last category of tattoo pictures represented her fall into the fantasy realm. These include such things as dragons, unicorns and winged horses. Now, that I have run down the three major niches of the tattoo world, why not begin your search looking for a design that will complement your personal style and make an impression on your friends.

Wings Tattoos

Wings Tattoos
If you have always wanted a wing tattoo like the one in the photograph then listen up and take some notes. I’m going to go through the history and symbolism of the wing tattoo so that you can make an informed decision and decide whether or not you really want to get this design. Interestingly enough the angels present in the Western bible never had wings. If you read in the old or New Testament the angels and seraphim where very much human like in every way. In fact they did not even have a pair of wings. However, somewhere early on in history artists including painters and stain glass artists seemed to incorporate a pair of wings with the angels that came to earth. Why this was done or where it started has been lost in history but it can be seen almost everywhere. In modern art this traditional of angel wings has continued. Today the wing tattoo has come to symbolize two different things. The first thing they symbolize is freedom. The second thing that they have come to symbolize is closeness to God. This is probably due to the close association between heavenly beings and wings.
Wings Tattoos
I personally like wing tattoos. And believe me when I tell you that I’ve seen my fair share of them. But, usually when I see a wing tattoo, it’s inked onto someone’s back. And there is a good reason why people get wing tattoos inked there. It’s because angels have their wings on their backs. So, it’s actually a representation of that. Or it could mean that the person has an angel on their shoulder. They are literally asking for divine intervention in their life, and asking for their deities protection. But, I haven’t seen too many wing tattoos like the one here. It’s evidently a memorial of some sort to a loved one because it has the words "My Love" with wings and a halo on it. Now I would normally say that this is a memorial to a living one but the halo gives me pause. I’m thinking that the loved one represented by this tattoo has passed on and that is why they have a halo over the top of it. The person has litterally become an angel. If that’s the case then I can’t think of a better tribute then a wing tattoo such as this one.

Tribal Tattoo Designs

Tribal Tattoo Designs
Here we have a few different tribal tattoo designs. I think it is a safe bet to say that all three of these were designed to be placed on the lower back, as they are basically what is referred to as the tramp stamp. But don’t let a nick name like that bother you. When people, especially girls, first starting getting these types of tattoos there may have been a certain stigma attached to having one, but not anymore. They have become way to common place. Today it is normal to find one on the average young housewife and that is only because they have become generally accepted in today’s society.

It’s hard to find someone who does not think tribal tattoo designs are cool. Even if none of the three of them in this picture does it for you, there are thousands more you can look at, probably even more than that. In short there is really no end to them and if you are really looking to get one, you will, sooner or later, find the one you like and when you do you will enjoy it all that much more.

Tribal Tattoo Designs
Tribal tattoo designs were employed by ancient cultures for many reasons. A lot of these reasons are still relevant today so let’s take a look behind the motivation for and the symbology of tribal tattoo designs. First and foremost, tribal tattoo designs were used to identify clans. This was particularly important on the field of battle. It allowed for quick and easy identification of friends from foes. Another important reason for the tattoo was marriage tattoos. These are what couples would get when they got married to highlight the fact that they belonged to each other. It is not unusual for lovers today to share the same tattoo. Tribal tattoo designs were also used as rites of passage. young man who couldn’t take it would be seen as unfit for battle or hunting, often dooming him to the role of outcast. Today, many teenagers eagerly await their eighteenth birthday and celebrate their entrance to adulthood by getting a tattoo. And the final and most important reason that these tattoos were gotten was to display individuality. There are hundreds, if not thousands of variations on the tribal tattoo theme, so it can become as personal as a thumbprint to a person.

Henna Tattoo

Henna Tattoo
Here we have what can only be called a very intricate henna tattoo. One that covers nearly every square inch of this persons hand. A henna tattoo is not a real tattoo of course. If this one were a real tattoo this person would probably not have been able to use that hand for a few days after getting it. The pain and swelling would have been severe in most cases and bad in the best cases. But all in all this is a good piece of tribal style artwork. And I am sure it has some particular significance in the tribal world but it is not apparent to those of us who are not extremely familiar with such things.

I must admit that I first had a few different henna tattoos before I ever got a real one. The first one I got I did to fool my friends and told them it was a real tattoo and yes, it did work. Then the next few I did to sort of test the waters on tattoos that I was thinking of getting. And doing that gave me a good idea if I would really like them or not. One of those I did not get, the other one I did get. So henna tattoos can be of some help.

Henna Tattoo
Henna tattoos usually refer more to the ink used then the actual style or design of tattoos, though there is a particular style of tattooing made up of Eastern symbols and geometric designs that are called henna tattoos. The designs closely resemble those of traditional tribal designs. It’s a practice employing henna powder which is known locally throughout the Middle East and North Africa as ‘Henna’ or ‘Hene’. Henna powder that is used for henna tattoos is made from the crushed leaves of the Henna Plant, also known as Lawsonia Inermis. It’s a tall shrub like plant that thrives in hot and dry climates. To produce the finest quality henna powder the leaves are air-dried, out of direct sunlight, in order to preserve the staining properties. The dried leaves are then ground into a fine powder, ready for preparing henna paste. Historically, across all of the Eastern regions where women have traditionally hennaed each other, the application is often strongly linked with ceremonial & celebratory occasions, like weddings and religious festivals. Henna tattoos when they are properly done with henna ink are some of the most beautiful pieces of body art that you will ever see. It’s a style that will fit in with almost any other motif.

Heart Tattoos Design

Heart Tattoos
Probably The best way to show symbolism of love is the heart tattoo. However the heart tattoo is a symbol that possesses other meanings as well and not just love. Some individuals believed that the heart is the location of the soul. Some religions see the heart as a bed of emotions, while other religions consider the heart the spiritual center of the being. And as you can see from the various designs, there are different type of heart tattoos for different people. Heart tattoos are always a pleasure to look at because of their vibrant color and shapely design. Let’s take a look at some of the designs available, and not just the whimsical ones either. The first choice you have is the classic heart. It’s the classic symbol that you have seen in probably a hundred tattoos, usually with a banner that says ‘mom’ or something similar. The next choice you have is a Celtic heart tattoo. This design is known to stand for a union of souls, is a basic heart that is designed with intricate knots and gives off a true Celtic look. Another possible choice is the angel heart tattoo. This is usually a heart surrounded by wings. Sometimes these symbolize love or devotion to one’s faith, or perhaps represent a love for a deceased love one who they believe is an angel in heaven. And that’s only a small representation of the designs available. So, happy hearting..um I mean hunting!
Heart Tattoos
Here we have an image that gives us nine different versions of heart tattoos. And they range from hearts surrounded by vines to flowers, to a heart held by some sort of animal claw. A heart with devil horns and a devil tail and even a heart with a big steel knife sticking right through it. So even though there are only nine different heart tattoos here they pretty much cover the entire gambit of what can happen to a persons heart.

I never really understood why we consider the heart to be the center of our romantic insides. Why is it, that if someone breaks up with us we say our heart was broken? We all know that is not true, so why do we say it? And why do we feel it? Is it because our heart is the center of our physical life and therefore we make it the center of our emotional wellness, as well? I would suppose it is something like that. Either way getting one of these heart tattoos will probably mean your heart has been broken at least once. Welcome to the club. It happens to us all at least once, usually more than once.

German Text on Foot Tattoo Picture

This tattoo reads:

"gerade weil wir alle gleichen boot sitzen sollte wir heilfroh darüber sein dass nicht alle auf unserer seite stehen"

Using one of those online translation tools I got:

"straight because we all same boat sit should we over it to be welfare glad that not all on our side to stand"

So my guess is that this means:

"Because we are all on the same boat, we should be glad that not everyone stands on the same side..."

Cool saying! Little heart at the end adds a nice touch to it.

Phoenix Tattoo

Phoenix Tattoo
This phoenix tattoo is a very nicely done piece of work with excellent detail and beautiful coloring throughout. It covers this girl’s entire back and it catches the phoenix just as it is beginning to burn up in it’s own flames. The flames of renewal as they are known. These flames will kill the phoenix and leave nothing but the ashes from which the new and refreshed phoenix will arise from, to live once again. In some cultures the phoenix represents the rising and the setting of the sun. Each day, rising once again to bring life and to breath life onto the Earth below. And each do to die off again in the flames of its horizon.

Renewal is what it’s all about. A second chance at everything. At life, at love, at a good job, at passing in school. Or whatever it is that you love the most about your life. Yes, it really can stand for all those things but at the end of the day all it really has to stand for is what matters to you and only you. Feeling special yet? You will when you have your phoenix tattoo.

Phoenix Tattoo
This phoenix tattoo is one of the best I have seen. Just purely as a piece of artwork it really is done with class and elegance. It is drawn to perfection and the rich colors and perfect shading throughout really sets it off. A big thumbs up to the artist who did this tattoo. Excellent work.

The phoenix is of course the great bird that is consumed each day by its own heat only to rise once again from its own ashes. A never ending, continued cycle of life and death. Much like the rise and fall of the daily sun which brings us life on a daily basis only to go away and allow us all to slip into darkness for the night. Many cultures have recognized one kind of a phoenix or the other in their mythology, sometimes calling it a sun bird, but it was very much the same thing. A large mythical bird who was born and died along with the rising and falling of the sun. Whatever the history is, this tattoo is an extremely cool one that I think anyone would be proud to have. It would certainly be a challenge to get a better one.
